Alexis Sharp

is the Assistant Women’s Basketball coach at Ouachita Baptist University. She is a former basketball player in the program and graduated from OBU in May of 2016 with a Bachelors of Arts in Kinesiology. Alexis recruits upcoming talent in hopes to give the next young female basketball player the opportunity to compete on the next level but more importantly get an education and earn a degree. She inspires to help develop better basketball players and even better women. She is looking forward to building relationships that will last beyond playing basketball. Tadai Abilla

is a former dual-sport athlete (basketball & tennis) from the University of the District Columbia. She was the first student-athlete to participate in the NCAA Tournament for the two sports in the same year. In 2013, she received her Bachelor's in Communications from the University of District Columbia and obtained her Masters in Sports Management from Georgetown University in 2017. She is currently the President/Co-Founder of Hustle Hard Global. The non-profit uses basketball as a tool to improve the well-being of underprivileged youth in East Africa through camps, tournaments, and scholarships. In the course of four years, over 500 student-athletes have participated in our programs. As the Grassroots Marketing Manager at Monumental Sports Network, she oversees the grassroots and community outreach efforts for the Network by driving subscriptions to our subscription-based platform, where subscribers can view the exclusive and original content of their franchise sports teams. Akil Simpson

is a former women’s basketball player from Southern Methodist University. She received her Bachelor's in Journalism in 2014 and obtained her Masters in May from SMU as well. Akil is currently the Assistant Director of Operations at SMU. She has a more profound role in the same program she played in. She has built relationships that she encourages her players to take advantage as well. She plans to help the program succeed but also help the players become better women. Akil knows it is vital that those young ladies know how important it is to become a better basketball player but work towards their future after their playing days are over. That is Akil’s mission. Jarrod Barnes

is the founder of PrimeU. As an entrepreneur, Jarrod wears many different hats and have an opportunity to impact diverse populations. Through Prime U, he teaches Core Behaviors like self-awareness, critical-thinking and problem solving, and marketable job skills like networking, project management and data collection to students and young professionals. As the Director of Training & Education at R6 Interactive, Jarrod takes all of Prime U's workshops and produce online, interactive modules that are broken down into three-minute videos for users to engage at any time. Working with Rise Sports Advisors, he take all of the business skills he has learned through starting his own company and teach professional athletes how to build their own business, monetize their brand and platform and make sound investments for the future. Lastly, as an Entrepreneurial Fellow at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, Jarrod study educational technology and how it can be used to better develop students in the future. Krissica Harper

is the Development Associate at Paul Quinn College. Paul Quinn College has an ethos of "We Over Me": the needs of the community supersede the needs of the individual. Paul Quinn is now a federally recognized work college; students get jobs with area companies, helping them to pay tuition and prepare for life post-graduation. It's what we call the “new urban college model,” and we have plans to open Paul Quinn campuses across the country. In her role, Krissica is able to connect with others on this vision, by sharing the mission and vision with individuals who, through their time, treasure, and talents, have the potential to partner with them to push the college forward. It's not just how she's making an impact, it's how students, partnerships, and communities come together to do so! Krissica says it is truly an honor and blessing to do this work. The goal is to END POVERTY, and everyday Krissica gets to help the students move closer and closer to it-- and she believe that WE WILL! Krissica graduated from Henderson State University in 2013. Devon Wallace

is currently a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel nurse. It has always been her dream to care for sick/premature babies in a nursing role, and now she can does it while traveling the country! Being a travel nurse means that she takes on temporary contracts, usually lasting about three months, at hospitals that are experiencing a nursing shortage. This unique opportunity allows Devon to come in and be of immediate help in caring for the babies. She believes it is a very rewarding experience and she can’t picture myself doing anything else! Sarah Williams

is the Associate Communications Manager for the American Heart Association, a national nonprofit in Dallas. Sarah Williams is a former volleyball student-athlete from Henderson State University. Right out of college Sarah was a news reporter for an NBC affiliate in Texas, and after two years she decided she wanted to take her career in a more positive, uplifting direction while still using her communications skills and her degree which is Mass Media/Communications. Sarah currently runs the online newsroom, HeartNews Twitter account, and a variety of other media relations and public relations tasks for the American Heart Association. A lot of people don’t realize that heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. Sarah is part of a global mission to improve and extend people’s lives through scientific research, inspiring healthier lifestyles, and meeting people where they are. Malcolm Lemmons

is a former professional athlete turned author, entrepreneur, and speaker. He the founder of Players Point Agency, a digital branding agency that designs, markets and manages personal brands for professional athletes to help maximize opportunities on and off the playing field. Malcolm obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Niagara University in 2014. Malcolm has built his personal brand from scratch to landing media coverage with networks such as ABC, WJLA, and TVOne. His articles have been featured in the Huffington Post, AthleteNetwork and other publications. Jeremy Small

is a Physics and Chemistry Teacher at Nacogdoches ISD in Nacogdoches, Texas, alongside coaching football and track. Jeremy has managed to raise testing scores by an average of 39% in each of the three schools he has have taught in. On each campus, he has created a “Gentlemen’s League” that targets young men and aims to build character within them. This organization is responsible for community service, accountability of grades, bringing issues to the forefront for discussion, as well as dressing for success. They have implemented a #ManhoodMonday or #WellDressedWednesday where members dress in business attire, preferable shirt and tie, and display the epitome of dressing for success. Within this organization, students must maintain and show an increase their GPA to retain membership. In his second year of teaching, he was blessed to receive the Teacher of the Year accolade due to test scores and student relationships. That honor also came with a “30 under 30” distinction from Ouachita Baptist University. He has obtained his B.A in Biology from Ouachita Baptist University, Masters of Art from the University of Central Arkansas. Jeremy is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Stephen F. Austin State University.


Breana Jones

is a 2017 University of Arkansas graduate and also a former volleyball player. She is currently a general education teacher in a high poverty school in Rogers, Arkansas. She works with 24 students and teaches all subjects. Follow her on Instagram at @breanajones5

Micale Allen

is the Coordinator of Player Services for NFL Players Inc., the licensing and marketing business of the NFL Players Association. In his role, he assists in streamlining companies' player activations by facilitating endorsement deals, appearance logistics, and matching partner specific criteria and business goals with player personalities and brand attributes. A native of Philadelphia, Micale received a partial football scholarship to Robert Morris University in 2010 where he played football his freshmen and sophomore year. Thereafter, he transferred to Morgan State University in 2012, where he walked on the football team and earned a full athletic scholarship. Micale graduated from Morgan State in 2015 with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and earned a Master’s Degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Athletic Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2017. Grateful for the opportunities that football has afforded him, Micale now uses his platform to educate and mentor young NFL Players off the field. Outside of the NFLPA, Micale regularly speaks to high school students and mentors young men and women on the importance of leadership, scholarship, and community-service. Over the last year, Micale has participated in Leadership and Professional Development seminars. Rachel Roberts, PT, DPT

is a physical therapist at Eugene Physical Therapy, a privately owned physical therapy clinic in Eugene "TrackTown USA", Oregon. She first went to Eugene in 2012 for the Olympic Trials and always dreamed of moving here. Now Rachel live here in her dream city with her dream job! She work with patients of all ages (current caseload ranges from 8-91 years old), athletes, spine and orthopedic injuries, post-surgical, and cancer and lymphedema patients. Rachel greatly enjoys the outdoors and running community here and passionate about getting her fellow athletes and adventure-lovers back to doing what they love without pain or limitation. Rachel is a former cross country runner at Harding University where she received her B.S in Exercise Science in 2014.
